Preliminary Memorial Ceremony for the 700th Anniversary of Daihonzan Sojiji's Founder, Taiso Keizan Jokin Zenji in South America was held on May 6 and 7, 2023

In the Soto Zen in Japan (Sotoshu) has been held a Grand Memorial Ceremonies for Dogen zenji, the founder of Eiheiji Temple, and Keizan Zenji, the founder of Sojiji Temple, and some other ancestors who established the dynasty of Soto Zen. The Grand Memorial Ceremony are held every 50 years after the 50th anniversary of their passed.

Next year 2024 is the year of the 700th Grand Memorial Ceremony for Kenzan Zenji. Starting in April of this year, Preliminary Memorial Ceremony for 700th Memorial of Keizan Zenji would be hold in nine regions in Japan and four regions outside of Japan.

Preliminary Memorial Ceremony for the 700th Anniversary of Daihonzan Sojiji's Founder, Taiso Keizan Jokin Zenji in South America was held on May 6 and 7, 2023 at Bushinji, the temple of the branch temple of two head monasteries, in Sao Paulo, Federative Republic of Brazil.

In this great occasion, we together with all the priests and parishioners, commemorated the legacy of Keizan Zenji.
